You already know what's coming: your child, standing in a school assembly line on Republic Day, and the wait feeling endless to a three- or four-year-old. Telling a child to "be patient" doesn't give them anything to actually do with their hands and their attention while they wait.
Tuki can't wait to see the flag go up, and pushes to the front of the line, wobbling the whole row out of shape. Rimo, standing calm in her spot, shows Tuki a different way to wait: something to watch, something to hum, and a plain answer for when the wait actually ends. By the time the flag reaches the top, both of them are watching it together, from right where they started.
